Train, the Grammy-winning rock band known for their infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics, rolled into Jacksonville's Daily's Place for a night of nostalgia and musical enjoyment. The amphitheater was packed with fans of all ages, eager to relive their favorite hits.
The show kicked off with a high-energy set from the opening act, Yacht Club Review, who warmed up the crowd with their upbeat cover tunes. As the stage lights dimmed and the band appeared, the audience erupted in cheers. Frontman Pat Monahan, with his signature raspy vocals, commanded the stage from the start.
The band's setlist was a perfect blend of old and new, featuring classic tracks like "Drops of Jupiter," "Calling All Angels," and "Meet Virginia" alongside more recent hits like "Hey, Soul Sister" and "Drive By." During "If it's love" Monahan took selfies with fans phones that were tossed to him on stage. For the hit song "Marry Me" the group was joined on stage by a 12 year old fan that took over singing lead from Monahan.The band was impeccable with tight harmonies and energetic guitar riffs with a special cover of the Eagles hit "Hotel California" while being joined by members of the Yacht Club Review. What ensued was a classic cover that ended with the songs classic guitar solo being played by a combined five members of the two bands.
Throughout the night, Monahan engaged with the crowd, sharing stories and dedicating songs to fans. He also took the time to acknowledge the local Jacksonville community, thanking them for their support. The audience reciprocated with enthusiastic singing and dancing, creating a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.
